Practice Management

Mr Roderick Wylie
Roderick_mug_shot.JPGRoderick Wylie is our practice manager and is responsible for running the practice and supporting the medical staff in providing patient care.  He is also concerned to ensure that patients have as good access to the practice as possible.  If you have any suggestions to make please contact him by phoning or asking for him at reception.

The clinical staff are supported by secretaries and administrators.  Their responsibilities include managing all of the patient records that are held at the practice, ensuring that everyone with a long-term health condition is invited for regular check-ups, referring patients to specialist services and dealing with correspondence.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries and dealing with patient records. Reception staff will often ask you what is wrong with you, and this is to help you see the most appropriate person for your condition as soon as possible.
